Spray Tan Tips

  1. All tans take at least 24hrs to develop into their full colour. We recommend you have your tan done 1-2 days before your event
  2. Shower prior to your appointment if you have time
  3. Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Preferably using an exfoliating mitt
  4. Any shaving should be done 24 hrs before a spray tan to avoid open pores where the tan will settle, leaving brown dots on your skin
  5. Wax at least 48 hours before tanning
  6. If sleeping in your tan we recommend using dark sheets- although the spray tan solutions are water soluble and wash out of clothing and bed sheets easily
  • You can wear as much or as little underwear as you are comfortable wearing, whether it is your underwear, bathers or a disposable G-string which we will provide. Alternatively, you may choose to go naked which is totally fine too
  • Hair nets will be provided
  • We will travel to you complete with pop-up booth and spray tanning equipment. All we will need to get the job done is a small, light-filled space with a power point.
  • Once your tan is complete we will clean the space like we had never been there. And leave you with a natural looking bronzed glow!
  • We will advise as to how long you should wait before showering. It will range from 1-4 hours depending on the solution used. Some spray tans can be worn overnight depending on how dark you would like the tan to develop
  • Wear dark, loose clothing after spray tanning (cotton or linen dress, t-shirt, shorts etc). Avoid wearing silk, satin or leather as this may cause the tan to smudge
  • Avoid wearing closed in shoes and socks as they may rub the spray tan away
  • Bras are not recommended after the spray tan as it may leave marks on the skin
  • When showering you will notice the bronzer washing off and the water may turn brown. This is natural and your spray tan will continue to develop after this has occurred
  • Pat dry after shower. No rubbing!
  • Moisturise daily
  • Avoid prolonged swimming and soaking in water (baths, spas etc)
  • Waxing/shaving post-tan may take off the top layer of your skin and reduce your tan time
